AUSTRALIAN superstars Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are on their way home to prepare for their wedding. As Sydney gears up to host the mega-star marriage next Sunday, June 25, the bride and groom yesterday boarded Kidman's Gulf Stream jet from Nashville, later touching down in Anchorage, Alaska, to refuel before flying on to Shanghai. Travelling with an entourage of six people, the lovebirds farewelled their Nashville friends with a gathering at Urban's Tudor-style mansion just outside the country music capital. Kidman's two children, Isabella, 13, and Connor, 11, were not with her and are believed to be flying to Sydney from New York in the coming week. An ambassador for Omega watches, the Oscar winner is expected to attend a press conference for the brand today before making an unscheduled appearance at the Shanghai Film Festival tonight. Kidman and Urban, who has been named country music's sexiest man in a Country Weekly poll to be released tomorrow, will spend a few nights in Shanghai before arriving home in time to celebrate the star's 39th birthday with her family on Tuesday. The couple will then spend a low-key week with family split between Kidman's Darling Point home and the couple's new three-bedroom penthouse in Sydney's Walsh Bay. Wedding guests, including actors Naomi Watts, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman, have been told in an email invitation to meet at a city hotel next Saturday night where they will stay before being given further instructions. After the nuptial mass on Sunday, tipped to be at Mary MacKillop Catholic Church in North Sydney, guests will be taken to a secret location for the reception. Brisbane musician Angie Marquis, who has been friends with Urban for 30 years and once dated him, yesterday said her invitation had no details of where or when the nuptials would be. "It just says black tie," she said. However, she virtually confirmed the June 25 date, saying: "Whatever you have read in the newspapers about the wedding is true."
